Change interval on C5 RS6 was every 30K by the way. And, Audi Care used to go 75K instead of 65K, until I guess someone woke up that they were covering the belt job. No surprise, a year or so after the belt interval went to 75K, the 75K/7th year step to AudiCare went away. And price went up, not down.

Remove the 13mm nut on the tensioner pulley. Do not lose the washer. Slide the belt off of the water pump, then take the belt off of the rest of the components. Remove the tensioner. Remove the three 10mm bolts from the water pump. These bolts have a weird thread to them, so do not lose them. Remove the water pump.
We recommend you replace your timing belt every four years, or at around the 60,000 mile mark. However, you might have noticed some symptoms of a worn timing belt. Here are the main red flags that indicate it’s time to change it up: Your engine won’t turn over. If your timing belt has broken, then your engine won’t be able to turn over

Re: Audi A4 cambelt change – 04-06-2016, 07:45 AM. My manual does not give a time limit just a mileage interval, but Audi UK dealers strongly recommend changing every 5 years even if the recommended mileage hasn't been reached. I know it's not cheap but for piece of mind I would always recommend a time limit as well (5 years), given that it

From memory, in my pre FL the manual said something like 120k miles but with no time limit, Audi will tell you it is 4 years no matter the mileage. Just checked my FL manual and this says '210k KM/133k miles' again with no time given.
Remove the cam and HP pins removed and the three bolts on the cam and tensioner loose, tension the belt. Tighten the cam and HP bolts. Turn two turns until the crank pin is again a slip fit. Re-tension the belt if the tension is is off. Adjust the cam and the HP until their pins are as slip fit.
@Lou12: This is what the maintenance procedures manual says about the VW 2.0 TDI timing belt: Generally, it is not necessary to replace the belt before reaching the next replacement interval. In particular, cracks on the back side of the belt do not affect service life and cannot be claimed as goodwill or warranty measures.

I have just checked my service schedule and it only mentions the toothed belt on 1.9 TDI every 95k - 2.0TDI & 2.0 TFSI every 114k. No mention of the ancillary belt on the 2.7 & 3.0 TDI engines, so assume these don't get changed untill they break.
