Jon's thoughts on Jaime's appearance: Ser Jaime Lannister was twin to Queen Cersei; tall and golden, with flashing green eyes and a smile that cut like a knife. He wore crimson silk, high black boots, a black satin cloak. On the breast of his tunic, the lion of his House was embroidered in gold thread, roaring its defiance. In the final moments of Sunday’s penultimate episode, “The Bells,” Jaime Lannister ( Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) reunited with his twin sister and lover Cersei ( Lena Headey) in King’s Landing

Jaime Lannister: "I was your sister's prisoner once. She hit me on the head with a rock if I remember correctly." Edmure Tully: "(laughs) Yeah. She should have killed you." Jaime Lannister: "Perhaps, but she didn't. Catelyn Stark hated me just like you hate me. But I didn't hate her. I admired her.

He would hand out money and laugh off excuses for not repaying it, making House Lannister seem like a massive pushover and easily exploitable. No-Respect Guy : As his son Kevan notes, despite being a good man, even those of his bannermen who didn't openly rebel against Tytos mocked him behind his back, and he was apparently a laughing stock at
The Imp, Halfman, The Demon Monkey, Giant of Lannister, The Boyman, Lord Tywin's Doom, Lord Tywin's Bane, Redhands, Hugor Hill, Yollo, No-Nose. "A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." The last and least son of Tywin and Joanna Lannister, Tyrion is a deformed dwarf nicknamed "the Imp."
Jaime also typically uses a shield, which would help deflect the spear thrusts. He's also a lot faster than Gregor so he won't just stand around getting stabbed again and again. I think Jaime manages to knock the spear out of Oberyn's hand with his shield and then he ends it quickly. Jaime was the best sword fighter in Westeros pre-Vargo Hoat.
Keen-eyed fans of “Game of Thrones” noticed this shot of the Lannister family at the Purple Wedding. In the image, the Kingslayer (far left) is reverently holding a paper coffee cup in his hand. Yeah, that hand. According to Uproxx, the image comes from a behind-the-scenes video on HBO GO. The footage did not air. Without his right hand Jaime’s fighting prowess is gone. Jaime derives a lot of his power by being able to claim he’s the best sword in the Seven Kingdoms, without his sword hand he can’t claim that. It’s why Jaime’s character progression post hand chop is fascinating, it’s like watching Jaime relearn how to Jaime. 1. Aerys refused and ordered Jaime to instead kill his father, Lord Tywin. With the Lannister forces sacking the city, Aerys held an audience with his new Hand of the King, Lord Rossart. When Jaime's messenger informed him that Rossart had just left from the king, Jaime realized that Aerys meant to burn the entire city with wildfire.

Jaime Lannister Redemption. The Starks , the most honorable house of Westeros. "The honorable fools " as they say. When King Robert Baratheon rides to Winterfell after Jon Arryn's Death with an unexpected proposal , begins the game of thrones where each move determines whether you live or perish forever.

Jaime lost one of his hands in season 3 after his duel with Brienne of Tarth, who fights for Catelyn Stark. Jaime, who underestimated Brienne, loses the fight and has his hand chopped off by a sellsword of Roose Bolton. When Jaime reaches King's Landing escorted by Brienne, he gets a hand made of gold by ex-maestor Qyburn. In a still, Jaime's
Expecting a vicious battle against the Kingsguard, Ned instead found Jaime Lannister - the king's personal bodyguard - standing over the dead king, having just killed him. From Ned's viewpoint, Jaime had broken his sacred oath to the Kingsguard, killing the very man he was sworn to protect. From Jaime's viewpoint, he had a very valid (heroic Cynda Lannister, the mother of Alton Lannister. (mentioned only) Ser Willem Frey, a knight of House Frey. There is a character named Willem Frey in the books but he is a ten-year-old page. (mentioned only) Bryan, a former squire of Jaime Lannister. (mentioned only) Episode 8: The Prince of Winterfell. Archmaester Ch'Vyalthan, an author of
If Bolton's man had cut off Jaime Lannister's hand, Bolton would never have let Jaime go. Adaptation always requires cutting and streamlining. As you note in your first paragraph it would be very difficult to include the Brave Companions and the show-only sequence introduces an important character in Locke. I'm not sure it's a plot hole.
