It had nothing to do with the turbo. It had to do with the fact they made the engine so efficient it wouldn’t heat up fast enough to burn off the excess fuel on short trips which then went into the oil. That was only for 1.5t engines from 16-18. It has nothing to do with the R engine in any way shape or form. psnk123.
(No I did not forget a decimal point between the 4 and the 7 , which still would have made it more expensive that the higher end Aftermarket China Units and the $4947 does NOT include the Touch Display) IF you install a while new Android unit, and better speakers, and Amp for the SUB, and a decent sub (They can get real expensive), by the

Just 20 of these very yellow, hardcore Type Rs were made available to Australia out of a worldwide production run of just 1020, with the majority headed to the US (600). On paper, the limited Edition still doesn’t look quite such a focused machine as the Renault Megane RS Trophy-R but if the FK8 has taught us anything it’s not to be many MOCS feature cool 3D printed wheels to finish them off - and as I had experimented with this before I decided to design my own for the Type R - once I had given them a lick of paint they were good to go: Wheel Design by All.About.Lego, on Flickr 3D printed wheels by All.About.Lego, on Flickr Wheels on the car by All.About.Lego, on Flickr Power was up in the European FK8s by just 10hp to 316hp, but the torque figures were identical at 295lb ft from 2,500 to 4,500rpm. The weight difference between old and new was just a couple of kg
The FK8 is miles ahead of the FK2 in my opinion. The driving position is much improved and the Comfort / Sport / R quite frankly "transforms" the car more than I've experienced on any other car with selectable modes. 8 Feb 2018 at 21:33. #12.

Torque Modeled ECU One thing to keep in mind with the Civic Type R FK8 is that it uses a torque modeled ECU. These new-age computers are quite sophisticated and use a number of advanced strategies to calculate the actual power output under a given scenario.

Honda Civic Type R GT: Pricing: Civic Type R from €56,225: Engine: 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol: Transmission: six-speed manual, front-wheel drive with helical limited-slip differential: Body style: five-door, five-seat hatchback: CO 2 emissions: 193g/km (Band F - €1,200 per annum) Combined economy: 33.2mpg (8.5 litres/100km Hello Alec, I have a 2018 FK8 Type R GT UK version, which has an 11 speaker system just like yours. Unlike the 12-speaker US version it doesn't have a subwoofer in the truck. I have an idea that we can add a subwoofer to the UK version even without amplifier upgrade. First, take a look to the amplifier diagram of the 2018 FK8 US version: I understand that the fk8 is the same engine basically as the fk2. I run an fk2 and in 2015 Castrol and Honda developed an oil specific for the fk2 and Is Castrol edge professional h.The h standing for Honda. For the type r Ow-20 is specified. And is extremely quick to get round the k20C1 engine. The other light are the red/white lights that surround the top and sides of the dash (I think on the FK7 it would only be white). On the FK8 they'll flash when you're supposed to shift (preprogrammed for optimal acceleration). Edit: do note that you're in the FK8 forums right now. Here’s why. For a start, the FK2 had the unenviable task of taking the Type R family into the world of turbocharging for the first time properly, but while that might have been met with some resistance from VTEC diehards, what Honda managed to do with this car is just incredible. It won’t scream the roof down like an older Type R, perhaps On sale from 2017-2021, the FK8-generation Civic Type R was all about the numbers. Before it even hit the showrooms, Honda was boasting of its benchmark-setting Nordschleife time – a frankly unbelievable 7:43.8. For a smidge over thirty-grand, buyers were furnished with a tasty platter of figures – 316bhp, 169mph, 0-62mph in 5.7s, 1,380kg. kiS3d.
